WAVER:  Inconsideration of the acceptance of my entry into the Spring Festival Road Race to be held on March 20, 2011, I release from their own negligence the Rotary Club of Lehigh Acres, The Fort Myers Track Club, The RRCA, The Lehigh Acres Spring Festival Association and all of their sponsor, officers, directors and members of each said organizations, their respective employees and agent and any other entity of individual's who are in any way connected with this event or which is in any way related to this event.

I understand that this release extends to myself, my heirs, my assigns or any other personal representative I represent that I have trained for this and am physically of sound body and mind to participate in this event.  I have read the information contained on the web site and understand the risks associated with participation in this event.  I also realize that this release is relled upon by the persons above permitting me to participate.  I also know that although traffic control and police protection is provided and I will assume all risks of running in traffic,  I am aware of the possibility of high temperature and humidity and the possible danger this represents to a runner.  I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, recordings and any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose.  I understand that if I am under the age of 18, that I must have the permission of my parent or legal guardian in order to participate in this event.  I, the undersigned parent or legal guardian, hereby consent to the applicants participation and waive and release all rights and claims for damages as in more fully set forth above.  I HAVE READ THE ABOVE RELEASE AND UNDERSTAND THAT I (MY CHILD) AM ENTERING THIS EVENT AT MY (HIS OR HER) OWN RISK.

If the event is canceled for any reason, for any reason, or I am denied entry due to my falsification of any information or due to my failure to pick up my race number and chip prior to the race, I hereby donate my entry fee to the event host.  I understand that this event uses AMB Chip timing for official results for official results and all awards and that I will be disqualified if I do not attach the chip as instructed. I agree to pay eighty dollars ($80.00 US) plus collection fees if I fail to return my chip after the event.  I acknowledge that this waiver will be used by the events hosts and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities at this event and shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.  For the safety and enjoyment of all, the course is restricted to registered participants and race officials only.  Unregistered participants, unauthorized vehicles, skateboards, roller skates, baby/joggers and dogs are strictly prohibited. For your own safety, we discourage the use of radio/recorder headphones.  The risk of running in high humidity is inherent to Florida activities. Be sure to drink plenty of fluids before the start of the event and remember to replace your fluids on the course and after the finish.
